Internet2 Topology Working Group Charter

The Internet2 Topology Working Group (I2twg) is concerned with the interconnectivity within the Internet2 infrastructure and the interconnectivity between the Internet2 infrastructure and US & international peer networks. It will give careful consideration to the interconnection technologies being developed and deployed. The I2twg is also concerned with the topological needs and implications of the various advanced services being deployed by the Project.

The I2twg develops recommendations and gives guidance on the optimum locations and technologies of these interconnections.

To achieve its goals, the I2twg will need to work with the Routing WG and with the other WGs that deal with advanced services. It also works closely with the federal Large Scale Networking's Joint Engineering Team.
